Bobby was born December 11, 1930 in Clovis, NM to Robert and Rue Kimbrough. He
lived and attended school in Lazbuddie and then went to Muleshoe High School his
senior year!
He was enlisted in the Army from February 1951 to February 1954. Returned home to
farm from 1954 to 1960 on the family farm. His many business ventures were Custom Harvesting, Fertilizer Company, Building Construction and Water Purification with Magnets until he retired.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Kay Kimbrough of Lubbock, TX, his daughters; Brenda Smith (Brad) of Brownfield, TX, Cindy Harris (Randy) of Clovis, NM. Grandson, Corey Leaverton (Tiffini) of Dallas, TX and granddaughter, Tara Carter (Trevor) of Clovis, NM as well as his three great grandsons, Cole Leaverton of Dallas, William and Phillip Carter, Clovis and one great granddaughter; Vivian Carter of Clovis.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Michael Kimbrough in 2018, as well as his parents, Robert and Rue Kimbrough and brother Lee Kimbrough in 2010.
Honorary Pallbearers are Brad Smith, Randy Harris, Corey Leaverton, Trevor Carter, Dr. Stephen Haynes and Carroll Hatter.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Mission or
Matt 25 Hope Center, or charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank the staff of Wilshire Senior Living and Bridge Hospice of Lubbock for all the care and kindness that they showed during this difficult time.
A family & friends celebration of life will be held on May 20th, 4:00-6:00 pm at
1764 SR 209 in Clovis, NM. Cremation has taken place.
