He was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas in 1929. He attended Little Rock Junior College, where he was the athletic trainer for the 1949 Junior Rose Bowl Championship Trojans football team, an event he fondly remembered. He then moved to San Antonio, TX, where he graduated from Trinity University.
Bill had a very successful career as a pharmaceutical representative with E.R. Squibb & Sons in Lubbock,
TX, for 38 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his job and his friendly nature was widely known throughout the
West Texas medical community.
Bill was a past Master of Yellowhouse Masonic Lodge 841and a member of the Scottish Rite and Kiva Shrine. Additionally, he served in the US Airforce & was a Korean War veteran.
He married Patsy Walden Sneed in 1962. She preceded him in death in 2003. Together they enjoyed be
ing involved in The Lubbock Area Square and Round Dancers Association, where they both served as
various officers through the years. Additionally, they enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Ruidoso,
NM.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelli Grant of San Antonio, TX, a son Scott Sneed of Dallas, TX and
granddaughter Courtney Grant of San Antonio, TX.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 10th at 11:00 am at Resthaven Memorial Park.The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the funeral home.
