Betty Jo Stewart

She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1944. Betty Jo married Don in Kerrville, Texas on July 29, 1944. They had two children, Donald R Stewart Jr. and Karen Lee Stewart. She retired from Food Services with Lubbock Independent School District, where she had proudly worked her way up to manager of the Coronado High School cafeteria.

Betty loved to craft and sew and teach others the art of punch work. Betty and Don were lifetime members of the Nazarene Church and The Refuge in Lubbock, Texas.

Betty was preceded in death by husband Don, son Donnie, grandson David, and three brothers O.F., Billy, and Jack.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Nelson of Spokane Washington, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held on her 91st birthday, January 11, 2018, at 1 p.m. with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. the evening before at Resthaven Memorial Park.
