Betty L. Dumas

She was born in Bokchito, OK on May 28, 1942 to Harvey and Virgie Vandenburg.

Betty graduated from Bokchito High School. Betty married Don Dumas on March 31, 1963. Betty worked for Lubbock ISD and United Supermarkets. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. Betty had a passion for Interior Design and Landscaping. She enjoyed helping her friends and family decorate their homes and work on their landscapes.

She is survived by her son Mark Dumas and wife Lydia and daughter Karri Bigelow and husband David; grandchildren Maygen Dumas, Ryan Dumas, Kinzie Bigelow and Kylie Bigelow; sisters Faye Haun and Judy Mitchell; brothers Gene Vandenburg, Ricky Vandenburg and Don Vandenburg.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband who passed away on September 14, 1989; her parents Harvey and Virgie Vandenburg; her sisters Minnie Ned and Dorothy Smith and her brother James Vandenburg.
