Logan Houdesheldt was born on February 19, 1996 in Ft. Collins, CO. He was a happy baby, always smiling and curious about the things around him. He was an energetic kid and had the best sense of humor, making us all laugh.
Logan graduated high school in 2014 and then graduated from the Fire Academy in 2014. He was very determined to help people as soon as he could. He loved humanity and wanted to do all he could to improve the community around him. He understood the heart of Jesus.
During his 3 years as a volunteer firefighter, Logan realized he wanted to go into emergency medicine, so he enrolled in EMT school after his 3 years were up. He was an EMT for several years in various positions in the system. Last August, Logan graduated from Paramedic school. Logan saved many people and loved that part of his job. Helping all people has been his passion.
Logan's other great passion was nature and our Earth. He was always going out into nature with his friends. They would go skiing, snowboarding and hiking. He loved his friends so much, they were an important part of his life and he brought them joy.
Logan will be missed by so many people. He is survived by his brother, Lucas; parents, Dean and Sandy; grandparents, Mary Lou Nichols and Willis and Sherrie Leach; his aunt and uncles, Gary and Linda and Neil and Tanya; his cousins, Julie, Emma, Grant, Lauren, Madison and Miles and his best friend Andrew Shell. There are many more family members and too many friends to count that will miss him deeply.
Logan, you are worth more than you know and loved more than you know. But now you do know, rest peacefully our sweet boy.
Instead of flowers or gifts, please donate to suicide prevention programs in memory of Logan. He would want people to get the help they need.
The Memorial service will be an open house style gathering, where anyone can speak about their memories of Logan, and will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., to include a First Responder Honor Guard Ceremony during this time, as well.
