One of three children, including her twin sister Sharon and her older brother David, Karen was born on July 2, 1965, in Greeley, Colorado to Jack and Lola (Kruise) Middleton. Karen went to Windsor High School and then graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems in 1993. After graduation, she worked at HP for many years, most recently as a Software Engineering Manager and she supervised employees throughout the world.
Karen grew up and attended school in Windsor, Colorado. She was an avid gardener, loved to travel and loved animals, particularly her beloved dogs over the years with whom she loved going on frequent walks. Karen was a shining light in our family. She loved God wholeheartedly and cherished family and friends. Karen was always ready to lend a hand, step in and meet the need at a moment’s notice.
She treasured her relationships with family, friends and co-workers, many with whom she became good friends. Karen leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and unforgettable memories. Her spirit will live on with Jesus and in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her father, Jack Middleton; brother, David (Robin) Middleton; sister, Sharon (Terry) Benson; nieces, Sarah (Evan) Pinkham; Carissa Middleton; Bethany Middleton; nephew David Middleton; two great-nieces, Audrey and Emma Pinkham, and one great-nephew, Benjamin Pinkham; as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola M. Middleton.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 16, 2024 at 1:00pm at Valley Christian Church, 697 Denver Ave, Loveland, CO.
