Charlotte Marie (Klausner) Chumbley, 80, of Loveland, CO, peacefully passed away in her sleep on May 6, 2024. She was lovingly surrounded by her family and dear ones in the weeks leading up to her passing, after courageously battling dementia for over ten years.
Born on November 18, 1943, in Fort Lupton, Colorado, to Thomas Joseph Klausner and Louise Dolores Viviano Klausner, Charlotte met and married the love of her life, Sandy Lee Chumbley, on September 28, 1964, in Roggen, Colorado. Tragically, Sandy left this world much too soon on September 4, 1992. Charlotte never remarried, always longing to be reunited with him.
Charlotte was a devoted mother, wife, sister, and daughter. As the eldest of 15 children, she played a huge part in raising many of her siblings before raising her own five children with Sandy. She was a blessing to many, with a heart of gold, a wonderful sense of humor, and an unshakeable strength. She was the glue that held her family together and built the foundation of love and support that her children stand on today. A cherished member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Loveland, she and Sandy were active members leading such groups as marriage encounters.
She lived in Loveland until 1990 when she, Sandy, and their youngest children moved to Hillsboro, Oregon. She returned to Colorado in 1993, moved back to Oregon in 2005, and finally came home to Colorado in 2018. Loveland has been her home since 2020.
