He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Doris Jean; brothers, J.B., Charles, Mickey, and Bud Stewart; and sister, Anna May King.
Survivors include his children, William E. Stewart, Jr(Patricia), Michael J. Stewart(Teresa), Patricia Ann Stewart, Christine L. Blankenship(Thomas E.), and Nancy L. Stewart; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva L. King(Bob); and brothers, George Stewart and Jack Stewart(Evelyn).
A celebration of life will be held at 12 noon Wednesday at Arch L. Heady & Son-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave., with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7pm.
