William H. Donahue, Sr., 77, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014.
He was born March 3, 1937 in Nelson County to the late John and Marie Donahue. Bill unselfishly donated his body to the University of Louisville Bequeathal Program to aid in medical research.
Bill is preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Partee; four brothers; and a sister.
Bill is survived by his wife, Martha Jean Donahue; eight children, Billy (Nancy), Greg (Terry), Laura, Theresa (Larry Overton), Fran (Jeff Wolford), John (Jackie), Patrick (Cherie) and Chuck Donahue; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers.
A Celebration of Bill's Life will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hosparus of Louisville.
