Tommy was born Sunday April 21st, 1946 to Sam H Bell and Lillian (Snardon) Bell in Louisville Kentucky. He graduated from Jefferson Community College and was admitted to the University of Louisville school of Business and served his community as an alum of the Louisville Jaycees and as a former board member of Goodwill Industries of Kentucky. Tommy worked many years as a general manager for Sherwin Williams before retiring in 1998.
Tommy accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville Kentucky. He enjoyed anything to do with outdoor endeavors. Tommy enjoyed and respected nature and found joy in growing his own fruits and vegetables in his garden. He was also a fishing enthusiast who was generous and quick to share both the harvest from his garden as well as his haul from the lakes and rivers that he fished. Tommy will be remembered for his sharp wit, contagious laugh, hard work ethic, wise counsel and his sincere love for family and friends.
Tommy is preceded in his passing by his father Sam H. Bell, mother Lillian (Snardon) Bell, brother John Bell, sister Nima Bell and grandson Jeffrey Kemp-Sutherland. He is survived by his wife Rose (Swinney) Bell, daughter Wendy (Bell) Kemp, son Sam Bell (Mimi), granddaughters Brittany Kemp, Kristen (Kemp) Berger (Tyler), Alayna Bell, Alyssa Bell, great grandchildren Elijah Uthman, Micah, Uthman Tyler Berger Jr., Charlotte Berger, sister Ann (Bell) Woolridge (James) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends whom he loved.
