Terri L. Mitchell

Terri L. Mitchell, 59 of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 17th, 2021. Born in St. Louis, MO on July 12th, 1962, her family relocated to Louisville, KY in 1981, where she spent the majority of her life. Loved and treasured by everyone she met, she lived her life to the fullest and always encouraged those around her to think positive and look on the bright side.

She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. The caretaker, she put everyone around her first and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Her caring and gentle nature were remarkable and unmatched. Even on the bad days the world was a brighter place because of her.

Terri raised her children with all the love in the world, and gave them a lifetime of good memories to cherish. She was the definition of unconditional love. She adored her grandchildren, and they would tell you she hung the moon. The World’s Best Nana.

Her smile and laugh were contagious, and her bright blue eyes could put the sky to shame. Often referred to as “one of a kind”, she truly had a heart of gold. Patient and understanding, she left a mark on her loved ones that will withstand the tests of time. A spirit so strong, she will live on in the hearts of her loved ones for forever. She will be missed more than words can say.

Terri is preceded in death by her best friend, Karen Harley. Reunited at last. A bond that could never be broken.

She is survived by her children, Scott Mitchell (Mariel), Sarah Mitchell (John) and Sydney Mitchell. Her parents, Gene and Marlene Mitchell, sister, Sandy Mitchell, her grandchildren, Shelton, Averi, Kenlie and Braxton, and her fur-babies, Molly, Louie, and Kitters.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Terri’s name to be made to Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary, P.O. Box 387 Irvington, Ky 40146 or online at broadbentwildlife.org.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation to honor Terri’s beautiful life on Tuesday November 30th, 2021 at Arch L. Heady & Son, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222, from 3pm-7pm.
