Tomerlin, Sylvia Joyce, 80, passed away on June 3. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Pete Tomerlin and her daughter, Peggie Cecil. Left to cherish her memory are her three children; Paul Cecil (Sherry), Patti Chapman (Tinker), Tracy Cecil; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; Billy Hammons and Jacks Hammons.
Joyce’s visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 pm at Arch L. Heady and Son Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Boulevard. Her funeral will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12:30 pm with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
