Susan Jean Wilson

Susan was born to Charles R. Wilson and Norma G. Wilson (Koch) on October 28, 1950, in Berwyn, Illinois.

After Susan graduated from Oak Lawn Community High School in 1968, she went on to study music at the University of Illinois and later at Eastern Kentucky University. She played flute and also studied voice. Her love of music stayed with her throughout her life.

After her college experiences, in 1976 Susan went to work as a flight attendant for American Airlines. Susan remained in that role for over thirty years. In 2008 she relocated to Louisville to assist her parents as they aged.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, Charles R. Wilson and Norma G. Wilson. She is survived by her brothers, Raymond Wilson (Annabella), and David Wilson (Kathleen Alberding), by her nieces Meaghan Wilson and Brianne LaFleur (Alexander), and her nephew Nicholas Wilson (Dana).

Visitation for Susan will occur on Saturday, October 05, 2024 from 10 - 12PM at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222. A Celebration of Susan's Life will follow visitation, beginning at 12pm in the Chapel of the funeral home. We will travel together to Louisville Memorial Garden East, 11601 Ballardsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40241, for a committal service. Susan will be laid to rest next to her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
