Steven K. Williams, 68, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at his home.
Steven was born in Louisville to the late James and Ruby Williams. He was a retired Master Mechanic, having worked for the old Jim Cooke Buick and the Metropolitan Sewer District. He had a love for auto racing (especially NASCAR) which led to him being Pit Crew Chief for the Daryl Hadley team at Louisville Motor Speedway and the Jeff Bissinger team at Sportsdrome Speedway.
He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Williams and father-in-law John Archer. Survivors include his wife of 37 years Tonia Cowles Williams; children Robert Williams (Samantha) and Lynn Lickteig (Andrew); grandchildren Layne, Nathan, Wyatt, Emmi, and Tulsi; nephew Steven A. Williams (Britt); great-nephew Michael Williams; and his beloved fur babies Lina, Sheldon, and Miki.
Visitation will be held from 2-7 pm Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by an informal memorial service at 7:00. Cremation will follow services.
