She was a longtime member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, where she was the Director of the Cradle Roll, and a member of the Cabbage Patch Settlement House. She was preceded by her loving husband of 58 years, Benjamin T. LaMaster Sr., her grandson; Justin Ford, and son-in-law; Michael Callaghan.
She is survived by her four loving children; Kathy Callaghan, B. Turner LaMaster (Gina) of Birmingham, AL, Franklin T. LaMaster (Cynthia) of Chapel Hills, NC, and Anne LaMaster. She has 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter. Her sister; Dora Jean Handley, her brother-in-law; William H. LaMaster, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Shirley’s life will be held 11 A.M. Thursday in the Sanctuary of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Ave. Visitation will be held 3-8 pm Wednesday at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave.
