Shirley Ann (Fell) James, 86, of Louisville passed away on Sunday July 30, 2023 during the Hour of Mercy. She was born on November 6, 1936 in Louisville to the late Louis Frederick and Rose Edna (Smith) Fell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Louis Henry James, Jr., and grandchildren, Bradley Hays and Reney Mohamed. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Marita Hays, Rosetta Turner (Gary), Letitia Shawler and Roxanna Jonas; sons, Louis H. III (Joan), Dale E (Mary Ann), Darrell W (Betsy), David E (Kathy), and Jason S. James; a sister Marquita Campbell; 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. A funeral mass for Mrs. James will be held at 10 am Thursday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4839 Southside Drive with interment to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery.
