Ruth Evelyn Mattingly

Born to the late Katie Blair and Conrad Lindsey, Ruth is also preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Bert Mattingly (who proudly retired from LG&E after 35 years); her siblings Inez Reece, Patricia Poynter, Anna Laura Lichte; Arthur, Clyde and Bobby Lindsey; and seven stepsiblings.

Here to carry on her memory are her children, Dianne Mattingly, Linda McWallace (Don), Nancy Wirth (Michael), Darlene Hazel, and James Mattingly (Shari), who is a currently LG&E employee; grandchildren Jerry McPherson, Eric McPherson, Kelly Shuff, Amy Royle, Rebecca Conrad-Wilson, Christopher Mattingly, Nolan Mattingly, Leslie Gonzalez, Nickey Egnor, and Kevin Lanning; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ruth retired from Bill-Boland’s Restaurant after working diligently in the food service industry for years.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume Monday morning, May 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home, with a service in Ruth’s honor beginning at 12:00 PM. Ruth will be entombed in Resthaven Memorial Park.
