Ruth P. Hornbuckle

She was the former Ruth Patterson and native of Scottsville, KY.

Ruth had worked for over 25 years at the Louisville Water Company, and was an avid bowler in her younger days and loved to do yard work and play sports. She was a member of Highview Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Crescent Hill Chapter.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Alvis Hornbuckle; along with her parents, Cornelius and Ida Eaton Patterson; and several siblings, Ray, Stanley, John, Comer, Guy, George, Jewel, May, Mildred and Ruby.

Cherishing her memory are her daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Livers and Joan Rich; grandchildren, Jessica Rich and Jeff (Jennifer) Livers; sister, Mattie Sarver; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nick and Zach Livers; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth's Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.
