Born on November 13, 1948, to the Late Paul Hoover and Nora Howard.
Ronnie proudly served his country, he was a Vietnam Veteran who served as both a soldier and sailor, dedicating five years in the Army and the Navy, an experience that forged his strength and patriotism. In his civilian life, Ronnie was known for his love of the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and engaging in competitive rounds of Bingo brought him immense joy, as did the laughter and warmth of family gatherings.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 52 years, Helen Hoover. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Gregg Hoover (Greta), his granddaughter Madison Hoover, grandson, Brandon Case, brothers, Paul Hoover (Vickie) and Gary Hoover (Kay). His legacy extends through his great-grandchildren, Aria and Aiden Case.
He is preceded in death by his step-father, James Thompson, and his daughter, Tracy Hoover, two brothers, four half-brothers, one half-sister, and a precious granddaughter, Mariah Hoover.
A visitation for Ronald will be held Monday, December 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven. Mr. Hoover will be laid to rest privately within Resthaven Memorial Park.
