Roger Allen Coomer, 71, of Louisville, KY, joined our Lord and Savior on July 23, 2021. He fought a difficult battle with cancer and remained strong throughout his journey. Roger was a native of Adair County, Ky and the son of Bill and Mary Lizzie Sneed Coomer. He was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Eugene Coomer; and sister, Rose Keltner.
Roger is survived by his wife of 24 years, Pat Woosley Coomer; daughter, Sarah Coomer; step-daughter, Keely Daniel (Pat); step-son Brent Goodman (Shannon); a grandson, Chase Thornton; a sister, Helen Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be on Tuesday at 7pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with interment on Wednesday at 1pm EST at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Adair County, KY. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1pm until the time of service.
