He is survived by his wife, Charlene G. Oates, his five children; Robert J. Ernspiker, Sherry Merland (Robert), Kimberly Kuhbander (David), Kristy Arauz (Tony), and Kelly Brownfield (Brian), and nine grandchildren; Michael Fawbush, Josie Cassidy, Robert Ernspiker, Sydney and Claire Kuhbander, Olivia, Paxton, Benjamin, and William Arauz, and his siblings; Daniel Ernspiker, Charles Ernspiker (Vickie), Dennis Ernspiker (Debbie), Patty Baker (Ralph), Martha Rogalinski (Ricky), and Tina Byrd (Billy).
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Margaret and Robert Samuel Ernspiker, and sisters Doris Lewe and Terri Lynn Montoya.
Bobby attended Trinity High School and went on to own his own businesses, Elite Enterprises and Skyline Erectors, where he worked alongside his son and brothers. He truly loved to build things, and could fix anything from the smallest household job to rebuilding a car.
Bobby’s favorite thing to do was hang out with his kids and especially his grandchildren. He was truly happiest when he was able to help others, which he did all of his life. He loved cooking and used a lot of his own vegetables he grew in the garden. He was a great chef and always had Sunday dinner and cookouts for his family and friends. Family meant the world to Bobby and he showed it every day with the love and support he showered upon them.
Family and friends are invited to visit Evergreen Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until 2 pm. The memorial service will immediately follow at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bobby’s name to the Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Bobby’s family would like to extend their greatest appreciation to the staff of Golden Living Camelot for all of the care and kindness given to him during his illness.
