Robert E. "Bobby" Wolfe

Wolfe, Robert E. “Bobby”, 63, heard his final bugle call on September 6, 2016. Bobby was a unique and caring person who never met a stranger. He was a loving husband and caretaker, the best father, and an awesome grandfather. Bobby worked at Churchill Downs for 27 years and was an avid horse racing fan. He loved playing cards with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Wolfe; and his siblings, Helen (Joe), Trudy (Bill), and Larry “Boy”.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 40 years, Debby, daughter, Lindsay (Nick), granddaughter, August; siblings, Bill (Linda), Margaret Mingus (Jimmy), Lee, Mike (Susan), Linda Hooper; sister-in-law, Kim Wolfe; step siblings, Bill Blair (Imogene) and Susan Mattingly; mother-in-law, Dorothy Pate Freed; brothers-in-law, Perry (Elaine), Gary (Tricia), Joe, and Donnie Pate, Darrell Freed (Tammy); many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.

A Celebration of his life will be at the IBEW, 4315 Preston Highway, on Saturday September 10th at 4:00pm. All friends and family are welcomed to attend.

In lieu of flowers, all expressions of sympathy may be made in Bobby’s name to Meredith-Dunn School at 3023 Melbourne Ave 40220.
