Robert “Bruce” Clark Sr., 79, of Louisville passed away on December 19, 2023. He was born on August 22, 1944 to the late Bill and Billye Clark. Bruce is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Sandra Clark, and brothers Brad and Brian Clark. Left to cherish his memory are his two children; Robert “Bobby” B. Clark Jr. (Stephanie), Beth Jessee (Cas), grandchildren; Brittany Stovall (Ray), Brandon Clark (Taylor), Brayden Clark, Caden Jessee, Addison Jessee, Cameron Jessee, Anderson Jessee, Cannon Jessee, great-grandchild River Clark, sister Beverly “Bev” Lush (Ed), sister-in-law Mary Clark, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bruce was a graduate of Ahrens Trade School and began a career with L&N Railroad shortly after as an electrician where he worked for 22 years. He was a volunteer for the Lyndon Fire Dept. as well as Kosair Shriners. He also served as a TARC supervisor and coached softball at Lyndon Recreation. Bruce was a longtime member of Southeast Christian Church and Masonic Order. In his free time, Bruce could be found tinkering with anything whether it be cars, woodworking, or trying to help fix anything. He loved the Kentucky Wildcats, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and camping. Family was everything to Bruce. He adored spending time with them and became his grandkids number 1 fan, never missing a ball game of any sorts. He will deeply be missed by all who had the pleasure to meet him.
A funeral service for Bruce will be held on Wednesday December 27, 2023 at 10:30am in the chapel of Arch L Heady & Son Westport Village 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222 with visitation on Tuesday December 26, 2023 from 4pm-8pm. Burial will take place after the funeral at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bruce’s name to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
