Dear David, Mitch and Allie,
I 'm sorry to be so belated with my condolences, and I do hope this message reaches you.  We were out of town when Gina passed.  I was so shocked and saddened at her passing.  I will remember her always as a very wise woman, a phenomenal mother, a great neighbor, and an awesome hair sylist.  We will miss seeing her at Short Cuts.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and may God's peace be with you and your family.

Ali & Mitch - We were so saddened to hear of your Mom's passing.  I have many good memories of volunteering with her at MGC when you were younger.  I also remember those kindergarten days Ali when Vinnie and you began your friendship and we all spent time together.  Your Mom was very special.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

        I'm terribly sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Although I never had the honor of knowing her,  I know how proud she must have been of you. Dear Dave and Kids, 
We haven't talked to you in a while and yet we were thinking of both of you all summer.
We were very surprised to hear of Gins's illness. The very first memory I have of you and she is your wedding. How she laughed at you trying to dance with me!!- so very pregnant with Max. Most recent memory was last summer- she was so sweet and helpful with my 'hair emergency'. I will always smile when I think of her.

We were deeply saddened to here of dear Gina's passing. As you know, she was one of our favorite people - her infectious laugh and kind spirit endeared her to so many.  We can only imagine the loss each of you are feeling.  Please know that we are praying for you.

The following is from our family memorial at Cave Hill:
 
A rose once grew where all could see,
sheltered beside a garden wall,
And, as the days passed swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall.
One day, a beam of light shone through
a crevice that had opened wide –
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
then passed beyond to the other side.
Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
be comforted – the rose blooms there,
Its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by God's own loving care.

Gina was, and always will be, one of God's most beautiful roses.
