Phyllis Lile

Phyllis was born May 31, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Sylvia and Ralph Jackson. She was retired from Metro United Way. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother, Bill and sister, Mary.

Phyllis wed Charles (Charley) Lile on July 13, 1963. They had two sons, Charles (Chuck) and Anthony (Tony). When her sons were young, Phyllis enjoyed being the secretary for the Camp Taylor Little League, where they played ball and Charley coached. In their early years, Phyllis and Charley loved to travel and spend time at their camp at Rough River. She also enjoyed fishing, dancing, going to the casino and playing computer games. Phyllis loved to volunteer at the animal shelter before her health declined. She was very loving and caring to everyone who knew her.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Charley, two sons and their spouses Chuck and Jenny Lile of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Tony and Elizabeth Lile of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren Kacie Lile, Carrie Lile (Trey Yager), Christina Lile and Nathan Lile; three great-grandchildren Mason and Everly Yager and Bella Lile; sister-in-law, Sharon Moss, and beloved fur babies, Henry and Lily, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday.
