She was the daughter of Winston E. Lynes and Helen S. Lynes, of Springfield, Missouri, and was born in Champaign, Illinois, where her father studied music in college. Her father was a professor of music at Missouri State University, and her mother a volunteer at the local hospital.
Pat was a longtime member of the Women’s Club of St. Matthews. She loved to sing, was a choir member at John Knox Presbyterian Church, and participated in the Louisville Chorus and Voces Novae, and performed with Young Hearts. Pat loved bridge, crossword puzzles, television mysteries, and travel. She also loved to entertain, and held frequent parties for friends, family, and acquaintances.
Pat completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Louisville, at age 72.
Pat is survived by her three children, Robert E. Kiser, Jr. (Katie), Anna Kristina Kiser, and Alfred Scott Kiser; six grandchildren, Alexander Ray Kemble, Nicholas Mackenzie Kemble, Grace Anne Kemble, Paul Winston Kiser, Robert E. Kiser III, and Margaret Rose Kiser; and one great-grandchild, Roman.
A memorial service for Pat will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at John Knox Presbyterian Church - 9104 Westport Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40242.
