Nancy was born on February 16, 1956 in Louisville, KY. She attended St. James Catholic School where she met her husband and graduated from Mercy Academy in 1974.
She was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church, formerly St. Barnabas Catholic Church, where her children attended school. Nancy retired from the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office in 2012 but her most proud achievement was raising her two children while they were young before returning to the workplace.
Nancy’s greatest passion was her beloved family. If she wasn’t with her 6 sisters, she was with her children and grandchildren. She was passionate about shopping as well. However, it was never for herself, but always for others. She had the biggest heart of anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to give everything she had to a stranger in need.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother Emmett “Dusty” Kronauer and father and mother-in-law, Herbert Sr. and Mildred Hudson.
Nancy was a loving wife, doting mother and proud grandmother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her best friend and husband of 44 years, Charles Hudson, daughters Christine Morrison (Tyler) and Megan Hudson, her cherished grandchildren Charli and Maxwell Morrison, siblings Marilyn Cooper (Mark), Michele Legel (Pat), Kim Casey (Chuck), Jeannie Kronauer (Tom), Rose Hofmann (Jeff) and Beth McFarland (Todd), sister in law Jenny Kronauer, and the following nieces and nephews that she adored as her own, Mike Cooper (Whitney), Julie Voyles (Mike), Shelley Legel, Nick Legel, Kelly Carroll (Colin), Kara Brown (Mike), Paige Allen (Ross), Matt Hofmann, Luke and Jake McFarland, Alex Kronauer (Melissa), Grace Corbi (Dan), Anna Look (Spencer) and many loved great nephews and nieces.
A service to honor the life of Nancy will be held Wednesday, December 15th at 10am at St. Martha Catholic Church with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 14th from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home.
