Michael Wallace Purtilar

He was born on September 8, 1975, to Teresa Gayle (Owen) Purtilar & Harry Wallace Purtilar.

As a kid, Mikey loved BMX Biking and going to the Car Races. As an adult, that love shifted to working on cars and riding his Motorcycle. Mikey was a prankster and loved to make people laugh. He had a one of a kind loving and giving heart. We will all miss him!

Mikey is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joyce Owen & Norman Owen; paternal grandparents, Wade and Shirley Purtilar; nephew, Logan Nathaniel Purtilar; step-sister, Wendy Logsdon; Uncle Wade Purtilar; Aunt Patricia Compton; Cousin Little Wade Purtilar; & Girlfriend Carissa Jones.

Mikey is survived by his loving parents, Teresa Gayle Purtilar (Rob Hester) & Harry Wallace Purtilar (Teresa); his four sons, Caleb Clifford, Michael “Little Mikey” Purtilar, Blake Newton, & Andrew Fleenor; two brothers, Steve Purtilar (Robin), & Mike Bennett; step-brother, Bobby Logsdon (Stacey); nephews, Stevie Purtilar (Vicki), & Anthony Purtilar; niece, Kyanne Gritton; great-niece, Breanna “Bre Cat” Purtilar; his pit bulls and babies, Fat Boy and Ellie; several aunts and uncles that were very dear to him; cousins that were more like siblings, and too many friends to count.

As a family, we beg all of motorcyclists to please wear a helmet. Spare your family the heartache that ours is enduring.

Visitation, Tuesday, April 13, & Wednesday, April 14, from 1-8pm, with a Funeral Service on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 1pm, in the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 8519 Preston Hwy. Funeral services will be conducted by Mikey’s cousin, Jessie Morris. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.
