Maurice E Meisner

He is preceded in death by his father Aloysius, mother Frances, brother Al, sisters Mary Frances Pugh, Audrey Brewer Kupper, SCN Margaret Meisner.

He is survived by his wife Emma (Antle) Meisner of 36 years; son Thomas (Rebecca), daughter Pamela (Donnie) Miller; granddaughters Lauren (Clay) Baldwin, Shelby (Vince) Biller; great grandsons, Boone and Bear Biller, great granddaughter Goldie Lynn Baldwin; numerous nieces, nephews, and his Florida daughter, Dawn Cejda.

Maurice served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After leaving the Navy, he acquired his Industrial Engineering degree from Speed School at University of Louisville in 1963. He worked for General Electric for 18 years in many capacities.

In 1972 he purchased Kentucky Machine and Tool company where he was President until he retired in 1998. He founded Meisner Roller Company in 1981 and ran in until he sold it in 1998 upon his retirement.

During his time as owner of KY Machine and Tool Company, he was appointed by Congressman Ron Mazzoli as a representative for small business in Washington, DC.

He was one of the charter founders of the Louisville Chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association. He worked hand-in-hand for 25 years with other members to create the foundation for future Journeyman Machinist, Tool and Die Makers and Mold Makers which continues to this day.

After retirement he and Emma moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida for 18 years, where he volunteered at the Veterans Memorial Center and served as President for 10 years. He was instrumental in building and developing the Veterans Memorial Plaza in Merritt Island Florida to honor all veterans.

Maurice was an avid golfer with three holes in one. He was also a long time former member of Wildwood Country Club. Fishing was another hobby he enjoyed.

He was a member of Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church.
