Mary Evelyn Kelly

Mary was a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother. She especially loved her grandchildren, whom she cherished above all else. They were her pride and joy. Numerous pictures of them, their awards, and artwork were displayed on her walls. Additionally, she enjoyed anything Elvis. She collected knick-knacks and pictures of him. You would often find her watching Elvis's movies and listening to his records. Her other joys in life included vacationing by the ocean with her family, and her orange tabby cats, Goldie and Trevor. Her warmhearted nature touched many lives and she will be immeasurably missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Schiffinger (Mark), Mary Ellen Holbert (Bradley); son, Roberto Salado (Juvy); grandchildren, Mark, Jr., Annaleise, Jaelynn, Anna, Ruby Ann, Ronalyn, Rosemarie, and Jhubert; brothers, Alfonso Pegarro, Loy Loy Pegarro.

Mary was preceded in passing by her husband, Larry Paul Kelly; mother, Trinidad Toraja; father, Pedro Salado; mother-in-law, Frances Romaines; brother in law, Bill Gordon; and sisters in law, Judy Gordon and Susan Smith.

A service to honor Mary’s life will take place on Sunday, April 30, at 2 PM at the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. We ask that guests please gather in the funeral home prior to service as we will travel to the cemetery chapel together.
