Mary Hollis

Mary was born in Louisville on November 21, 1937 to Cletus and Mary "Gaw" Hollis.

She cheered for and graduated from Male High in 1955. She was an administrative assistant for the Louisville Colonels baseball team in the 1970s. Mimi was a loving mother and grandmother, as well as a lover of dogs and nature. Mimi had a spirit, grit and personality like no other.

Mary moved her family to Jeffersonville, IN, in 1974.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Laura Whittaker, Juanita Zutt, C.A. Hollis, Betty McCoun and Jimmie Hollis.

She is survived by her children, Scott Straight (Julie), Doug Straight and Holly Pace (Clayton); as well as her grandchildren, Samantha, Steven and Vincent Straight; Madison, Elizabeth, Alex and Kelly Pace; and Mandy and Colton Straight.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at O.D. White Funeral Home on 2727 South Third Street, Louisville, KY, followed by a brief service at 8 p.m. for family, relatives and close friends. Mary's ashes will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation and gratitude to her great long-time friends on Plaza Drive in Jeffersonville, as well as the staff of Kindred Rehab in Sellersburg for the care they gave our mother the last several months.
