Born to Peggy and Jack Haley, Mary was raised in Lakewood, New Jersey. She was a graduate of both Saint Mary’s Academy and Lakewood High School. Mary relocated to Louisville, KY, in 1991.
Mary will be deeply missed by her twin brother, Kevin Haley (Washington, DC), brother Tim Haley (Point Pleasant, NJ), sisters, Patricia Heerema (Bob Heerema) (Lakewood, NJ), Eileen Haley (Kevin Thomas) (Louisville, KY), Katie Haley (Louisville, KY), niece Emily Heerema Smith (Kyle) nephews Jon Heerema (Katie), Brian Heerema (Keri Korner) and many beloved cousins and friends.
There will be a memorial of Mary’s life on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Galt House Hotel, 140 North Fourth Street, Louisville, Kentucky, in the Waterford Room. A prayer service will be held promptly at 1:00 p.m., immediately followed by a celebratory reception until 5:00 p.m. There also will be a family gathering in New Jersey in the spring.
