Marolyn Lamb Gibson

Marolyn was born on February 22, 1945, one of 11 children, to Leeper and Isabelle Lamb in Lyon County, Kentucky. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she served as primary caregiver and provider for her family for most of her life while working as a legal secretary for Frost Brown Todd for more than 25 years.

A member of Southeast Christian Church, Marolyn was the hands and feet of Jesus to those she treasured the most, her family. Marolyn enjoyed classic TV shows and music, was an avid reader, especially of the Bible, and greatly looked forward to the annual Lamb sisters’ weekend held for many years.

Marolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Leeper and Isabelle Lamb; her husband Marvin Dale Gibson; brothers Charles, Bob, and Jerry Lamb; sisters Virginia Rickman and Evelyn Powers.

Marolyn is survived by her sons Kevin (Christie) Gibson and Barry Gibson; grandchildren Serenity, Beau, and Lexi Gibson; brother Mike Lamb; and sisters Dorothy Bingham, Barbara Stephenson, Linda Jo Lamb, and Sharon Pratt.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm and Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky. A funeral service will begin Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 1pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
