Lula "Ava" Klein, 74, of Louisville, passed away April 29, 2017. She was a very active member of Vine St. Baptist Church. She enjoyed her friends at Highland Court Apartments where she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the exercise program, and she was an avid and loyal Elvis fanatic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Klein; sisters, Faye Alcorn and Charlotte McDonald; and brother, Don Douglas. Survivors include her children, Kevin Klein(Cheryl), Perry Klein, and Susie Klein; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Klein, Ben "Marty" Klein, Corey Klein, Craig Ward, Kelcey Thompson(Luke), and Kyle Buntain; great-grandchildren, Jaylon Cook and Justice Cook; and her brothers, John Douglas and Lenny Douglas(Judy). Funeral service will be 12 noon Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8pm Tuesday. Memorial contributions can be made to Vine St. Baptist Church.
