Loretta Collins Renck Swimme, 94, passed away on February 19 at Nazareth Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Millie Mercer Collins, her husband, Charley Swimme, five brothers, son, John Clay Renck, grandson, Craig Renck, and great-grandson, Josh Renck. Loretta is survived by her children, Maryann Leonhardt Rand (Ralph), Carl Joseph Renck, Barbara Sue Renck Millay (Chuck), Sandi Swimme Otte (Alex), daughter-in-law, Patsy Renck, and her “fourth daughter”, Bev Billharz Axman. She is also survived by twelve loving grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, eight great, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved cats, Tom and Tiga.
Loretta’s career was in shoe sales beginning at Bacon’s, then Kaufman’s, Byck’s, finally retiring from Wennecker’s in the early 80s. She was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Loretta was a long time area bowler and at age eighty was still bowling three times a week. She loved music and dancing.

Visitation will be from 3-8 Friday, February 21, at Arch L. Heady Russman Funeral Home, Oak Street, with Mass on Saturday, February 22 at 11AM, St. Boniface Catholic Church, 531 E. Liberty Street. Final resting place will be with her beloved Charley at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Graveside services will be private.
