Born on November 11th, 1940, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, to the late Ed and Ruby Higginbotham, Lillie lived a life marked by devotion to her family and an unwavering work ethic.
Lillie's legacy is carried forward by her loving husband of 64 years, Braxton Case, and her children. She was a cherished mother to Keith, who preceded her in death, Edward (Gina) Case and Robert (Wendy Cohen) Case. She will forever be an inspiration to her grandchildren, Matt, Madison, Braxton, and Garrett, and great-grandchildren, Rowan and Rosemary Kennedy, who will miss her deeply. Lillie was also a dear sister to Linda.
Lillie's life was characterized by her diligence and heart, hallmarks of her role in building the family business, BLC Industries, alongside her husband. Her dedication to the company was evident in the countless hours she committed.
Lillie's zest for life extended beyond her entrepreneurial spirit. Farming, gardening, and cultivating beauty in her flower beds brought her immense joy, as did the cherished winter months spent in Clearwater, Florida. There, with Braxton by her side, she found a second home surrounded by enduring friendships. Lillie's legacy is one of love, labor, and the luminous smile that touched all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed and forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
A visitation for Lillie will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10am at Resthaven Funeral Home. Lillie will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, a committal service will be held at 12pm at 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40241.
