He was born on June 17, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents’ Ora William Fisher & Bertha Jewel Wheeler. Kenneth served his country with pride and honor in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War enlisting on June 18, 1965. He served aboard the USS Hornet (CVS12) at one point being stationed in Long Beach, California. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with device. Kenneth was a member of the Highview Church of God.
His parents, Ora William & Bertha Jewel Fisher; & sister, Gaytha Kohler, precede Kenneth in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vicky Fisher; children, Patrick (Michelle) Fisher & Chris (Lindsey) Fisher; grandchildren, Avery, Drew, Hudson, Mallory & Benjamin; nieces & nephews, Diane, Alanna, Cherry, Rhonda, Jim, Becky, Scott & many more nieces and nephews; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Garden of Eternal Love of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums, where he will rest for eternity. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
