Kathleen C. Dempsey, 87, of South Louisville peacefully passed away on Thursday April 29, 2010 at her home. She was the former Kathleen Crawford, a native of Grayson County KY., a retired employee of the Selective Service Board, and a 75 year member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dempsey and a son, Michael Dempsey. She is survived by a grandson, Michael Dempsey II; a daughter in-law, Ruth McNamara; a brother, Larry Crawford; and a beloved childhood friend, Dottie Rogers. A service to celebrate Kathleen’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
