Julie Ann Steinau

December 4, 1958 – July 2, 2021

Julie was a native of Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from Waggener High School in 1976. She obtained her associate degree from Mid-Continent University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She worked over 40 years in various capacities in the healthcare field as a radiology supervisor, surgical practice office manager, and an IT specialist.

Julie was a strong, loving, fiercely independent woman, and devoted friend. Her adventurous spirit and unique sense of humor will be missed by all. She was an avid tennis player, enjoyed playing softball, and loved boating with her dad. Julie was passionate about the arts, and cared deeply for all animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Kay (Hopson) Steinau, sister, Claudia Steinau, and brother, Jeff Steinau.

Julie is survived by her brother, Todd Steinau (Kristy), nephew, Peyton Steinau, niece, Miranda Steinau, close friend Lisa Kaster, and many cousins and lifelong friends. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Ozzie.

Her visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, on Saturday, July 10, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with funeral service to follow at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Kentucky Humane Society of Louisville, Lucky Tales Rescue of Fort Thomas, KY, or the charity of your choice.
