Faulkner, John, 76, entered into eternal rest on January 22, 2014. John was a devout Catholic and an active lifetime member of St. Rita. He proudly served his country for 6 years in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, he began working for G.E. as a Tool & Die maker. He later retired after 42 years.
John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. John was a perfectionist, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t build or fix. A proud democrat, he voiced his opinion and was willing to share it with everyone. He also took great joy in helping others.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Gail Faulkner; grandson, Wesley Faulkner; and brothers, Joseph and James “J.L.” Faulkner.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Alice Josephine “Jo”; children, John Jr. (Brooke Burke), Robin (Patrick White), Dan (Patty), Stephanie (Lonnie) Walker; grandchildren, Jeff, Nick, Ashley, Chase, Alex, Jon, Ally, Jada; siblings, Paul (Ruby), Helen (Norman) Bodenbender, Harold (Wilma), Joyce (Johnny) Morris, Gerald (Billy), Charles, Brenda (Larry) Conley, Doretha (Mike) Corbett, Doris (John) Jabaley; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
The funeral mass will be on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Rita Catholic Church, 8709 Preston Hwy. Visitation will be Friday 3-8 pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services-Okolona. Burial will be at St. Joseph in Bardstown, KY.
