John W. Cox, 85, of Louisville passed away Wednesday May 7, 2014. Mr. Cox was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ida Bailey Cox, daughter; Deborah, sons; Darrell (Paula) Cox and Joshua Cox, 2 granddaughters Emily and Libby Cox, his sisters; Kathleen Sluder, Stella Hayse, Rosalee Lowe and Evelyn Coats, and several nieces and nephews.
John was a Veteran of the United States Army, surviving in Germany during WWII, and was retired from American Air Filter.
A Celebration of John’s life will be 12pm Monday May 12th at Arch L Heady at Resthaven. 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2pm to 8pm Sunday May 11th at the funeral home.
