Joe Kenneth Burden

Dad was an an Army retiree after serving his country for 25 years in both the Navy and Army. As an Army veteran, he served two tours of duty in the Vietnam war.

He loved cooking, was an avid bowler and golfer and always up for an adventure as long as we got home before the traffic hit. He loved going out to eat with his wife and was there for his children whenever they needed him.

Joe is preceded in death by his, parents, Albert Clark Burden and Mable Lee Burden and his brother Danny Ray Burden.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Norma Judith Burden, their children, Norma Jean Burden, Jennifer Lee Allen (John), Joe Kenneth Burden Jr. (Maria Elene), Jessica Karen Burden. His grandchildren Cameron Scott Allen, Ava Julianne Allen. His brother Ronald Eugene Burden (Cherri), his sister Deborah Sue Pigg (Bonnie Lee), his cousins Kim Fallen Porter (Michael), Anne Pope (Dewey), Becky Fallen Sanders (Andy). His nieces Erika Puryear, Beth Burden, Krystal Mitchell, and Kayla Pigg.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd, Louisville KY 40222 with interment to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff KY at 1:30pm. Guests are invited to attend a visitation after 10AM Wednesday, June 8th at the funeral home.
