She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Kenneth “Kenny” Abell, their daughter, Sheree Abell Beaty, and a granddaughter, Megan Lyons Price.
She is survived by her children, David Abell, Kim Blandford, Janie Lyons, Tammy Griffith and Scott Abell; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Sue Edge, Jane Harley.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 27, 2024 at St. Bernard Catholic Church (7500 Tangelo Drive Louisville, KY 40228) with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218) beginning at 5 pm until 8 pm with a prayer vigil held at 7:30 pm.
