Janice Sue (Embry) Gowers

Janice graduated high school from Lewisburg high school in 68 and Watterson College with a Computer Science Programming Degree. She worked for Remitco, where she was the Operations Manager. Janice loved many things in life, such as: traveling dogs, Star Trek and Thomas Kinkade artwork.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Tony Embry and her grandson, Tyler Gowers, Grandmothers: Gracie Justis Embry, Shella Huff (Clifton) and one aunt, Novela Embry Bell.

She is survived by her son, Dallas Gowers (Emily), four sisters: Paula Hankins (Harold), Rosanne Thomas (Ricky), Linda Hunt (Jerry), and Sandy Dixon (Rob), two brothers: Phillip Embry (Sandra) and Aaron Embry, along with many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Janice will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
