Janet Carol Rognli Dale

She was born August 21, 1941 in Colfax, WI, and at the age of nine weeks, moved to Kentucky with her parents Olaf and Lucile Rognli.

She was a graduate of Valley High School, and the St. Anthony Hospital nursing program. She worked at St. Anthony, Jewish, and Methodist hospitals, at Visiting Nurses Association and at Hill Creek and Meadows East nursing homes.

She met and married Melvin Dale in 1966. They had one child, a daughter, Diana.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peder and Oskarda Rognli of Fargo, ND; and William and Hallie Mathews of Colfax, WI; by her husband, Melvin Dale, who was the son of Louis and Dorothy Dale of Louisville.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Britton, and her son-in-law, Bill Britton; grandson Nicholas, and by her mother, Lucile Rognli, all of Louisville.

Janet's Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home at 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or The Salvation Army.
