He was preceded in passing by his wife of 45 years, Chris Whitehead.
Ed is survived by his children, Mike Whitehead (Kathy), Terri Turner (Lealon Robinson), Janet Hines (Charlie), Cristie Johnston (Steve), Cindy Albensoeder; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Ed was an Army Veteran of WWII, 3rd division and 30th infantry. He retired as Plant Manager at Phillip Morris and spent his retirement wintering in Florida with his wife, and playing golf any chance he got. He lived a full and happy life and will be so greatly missed.
A service to celebrate Ed’s Life will be held on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, at 1 PM at the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. Guests are welcome to visit with the family on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 1PM. He will be entombed with Military Honors at Resthaven Memorial Park following the service.
