Born on January 3, 1934 in Grayson County, Kentucky Jim was the son of the late, Joseph Ezra Drury & Sarah Eva Conder. Jim was a retired Machine Adjuster for Alcan Manufacturing. He served his nation with pride and honor in the United States Army. He was also a member of the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels. Jim was a family man and of the Catholic Faith. He was a huge U.K. basketball fan. Jim was a determined individual, he could do anything he set his mind to. After his retirement, he built his computer attesting to his drive and determination. He had an infectious personality, he would often joke around. Jim loved his family but his grandchildren, held a special place in his heart.
Jim lived a full life, a life – well – lived!
Besides his parents, Joseph Ezra & Sarah Eva Drury; his son, James Keith Drury; and brother, Joseph Edwin Drury, precede Jim in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Alice Sue Drury; son, Jeffrey Martin (Lynette) Drury; daughter, Shawna (Justin) Harrod; 4 – grandchildren, Crystal, Ashlynn, Hannah & Cooper; 2 – great – grandchildren, Aleksi & Wyatt; sister, Mary Agnes Collard; niece, Michelle; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Dignity Chapel of the Evergreen Funeral Home. Jim will be laid to rest in the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
