Born to the late John Earnest Donahue and Mary Golda Clark, Rob is also preceded in death by his siblings: John Ernest, Jr., Joseph Howard, Cecelia, Myrtle, Pauline, Kathleen, Judy, Frankie, JoAnn, and Gerald; and his grandson J.D.
Here to carry on his memory is his adoring wife of 37 years, Marie Donahue; their children Grace Donahue and Kim Kammer (Jim); 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother Tom Donahue.
A proud electrician, Rob worked at GE for over 20 years before starting his own business, Rob’s Electric Service, that ran successfully for over 30 years. With his earliest ambition to be a father, Rob adored spending time with his family. In his spare time he also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing music, and yard work.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville Kentucky 40218. A funeral service in Rob’s honor will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Rob will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude.
