James E. Curry, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on October 24, 1937, in Louisville, James led a life marked by kindness, love, and wisdom, touching the hearts of everyone he met.
James was the loving patriarch of a large family that included his devoted wife, Alline Curry, with whom he shared countless precious moments. His legacy continues through his children, Steven Curry (Terri), Dorothy Cox (Mike), Bill Saling, Robert Saling (Vicky), and Lisa Adams (Paul); his 14 grandchildren and their spouses; and his 20 great-grandchildren, who will fondly remember his guidance and affection.
Predeceased by his first wife, Delores Curry, his brothers Harold, Herbert, and Claude Curry, his son Jeff Saling, and his status as a Kentucky Colonel, James was a respected businessman who took pride in his work as the owner of Curry's Specialties Sales. A member of the National Street Rod Association and the Lorrie Morgan Fan Club, he found joy in working on old cars and excelled in his role as a husband and father.
James's life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness and wisdom. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a beacon of love and strength in his community.
