Jackie retired from JCPS where she was a school teacher for 37 years. She was also a member of Parkland Baptist Church, Civil War Round Table, Okolona Women’s Club and the Eastern Star.
Her son Jason Powell, sister, Sharon Arnold and husband, Gary Dean Hopkins preceded Jackie in death.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Troy Powell(Stacey), daughter, Tracie Adams(Gregg), grandchildren, Kristina, Morgan, Duncan, Nolan, Logan and Daphne, 2 sisters, Donna and Pam, brother, Bruce, and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, July 14, 2023 from 2-8pm and Saturday from 9am-11am with a funeral at 11am at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Okolona. A private family burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Parkland Baptist Church pre-school ministry.
